5th graders were introduced to their next BIG in-class project. 

Q: What is the Passion Project?

                          and do something about it!

* Learn something and have fun along the way. 

     We visited the website http:www.startasnowball.com and watched how other children took a passion and made it into a project. These children made a difference. They made the world a better place. This is my goal for the individual projects that the 5th graders will be involved in this year.

Today we discussed how we could change the world. The children then made poster of how they would change the world.

Our afternoon S.T.E.M. activity involved the children making the tallest free standing structure using 15 pipe cleaners. Here's what they came up with...

If you give fifth graders two pieces of tin foil and 16 pipe cleaners, what will they make? The directions were to 1. Be Creative and 2. Work Together. Here's what they came up with;
